Wheel Chair Accessible Driver Training
For Drivers of Handicapp Accessible Taxicabs

This three hour course is mandatory for all New York City Taxi Drivers operating Wheel Chair Accessible Taxi Cabs. It is offered twice monthly for a fee of $60. All students completing the course will receive a certificate of completion and their completion will also be forwarded to the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission as required.

The course consists of a video presentation and review as well as a demonstration and operation segment segment utilizing taxi specific hardware, on a training platform, using a wheelchair with which students will be required to secure passengers as in real life situations.

Drivers curretnly operating Wheelchair accessible taxicabs are urged to bring their vehicle with them. Parking is available at the rear of the school where there is a Approved Taxi and F.H.V. Stand.

Master Cabbie Taxi Academy is a NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission designated school and has been since 1996.
